Description
Resource Depot is giving the phrase “can of worms” a new meaning. Our upcycled version of a Jack-in-the-box will teach families how to engineer a simple bungy system, turning their creepy creation into an interactive Halloween decoration.
“Can Of Worms!” is a family workshop meant to empower kids to create, as well as provide parents with an opportunity to connect with their children. Families will work together to design their creations, as well as learn basic engineering techniques that can be applied in future projects.
This activity aims to teach kids about upcycling in a fun and hands-on way by using common materials like coffee containers, rubber bands, and toilet paper rolls. They will also have the opportunity to practice operating a drill, which is a useful skill for every artist. Your take-home creation can make the perfect Halloween decoration that your family can cherish for years to come! No experience needed.
The “Can Of Worms!” workshop will take place on Saturday, October 19th from 10am to 12pm. $15 per Family group of 2-4. Advanced registration required. Registration closes on October 18th at 12pm.
We’ll provide all materials, but feel free to bring anything you think will bring your brain worm buddy to life.
We always recommend confirming details before attending.
