Cool Ways to Find Santa

Find Santa Online, by Mail, on TV & Around Town!

December 19, 2014
Whether it be online, by mail, or in person, there are some great ways to find Santa this year!

Websites

We have come across a few fun, free websites that offer great holiday activities for kids:

  • Watch Santa Feed the Reindeer! At www.reindeercam.com you can watch Santa feed the reindeer Monday-Friday at 11am, 6pm and 9pm; Weekends at 6pm (Eastern Time).
  • Portable North Pole-My daughter loves this site! Enter your child's name and age, answer a few questions about her behavior and what she wants for Christmas. Photos can also be uploaded from special events over the course of the year. It then produces a video with an in- the- flesh Santa who reads to your child from a book with your uploaded photos. It is very personalized for an automated website program and is just adorable. We have watched this over and over and over. (You do have the option of purchasing the video to download and keep for $4.99) This is great for the little ones! www.portablenorthpole.com
  • Track Santa with NORAD- (Comes back December 1st!)  Use this popular website to track Santa's movements on Christmas eve. Until then, there is a "Countdown to Track Santa" and a "Santa's Village" page where your child can scroll over the village to locate which shop is busiest and uncover a secret activity of the day. Beginning at 2 a.m EST on Christmas Eve, NORAD will be posting updates on both Google Maps and Google Earth via the NORAD Santa site. NORAD personnel will begin answering phone calls and e-mails at 4:30 a.m. EST on Christmas Eve. You can reach the program at 1-877-Hi-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) or visit www.noradsanta.org.
  • Santa Letter- On http://www.santaletter.com/ you can create a letter from Santa that opens in your browser just by entering in your child's name, age, one thing they would like for Christmas and the city in which you live. The letter is instantly presented on the website. There is also the option of sending it by email. There are numerous other activities on the site as well, such as crafts, games and even recipes. www.SantaLetter.com
