This Weekend! 31st Annual ArtiGras Fine Arts Festival: February 13-15

Get ready for ArtiGras 2016, the award-winning fine arts festival celebrating its 31st Anniversary! ArtiGras showcases a unique juried exhibition of 300 fine artists from all over the country. The three-day event also features interactive art exhibits, live music, and demonstrations that provide an arts experience like no other in South Florida.
  • Date: February 13, 14 & 15, 2016 (President's Day Weekend)
  • Festival Hours: Saturday, February 13th 10am to 6pm; Sunday, February 14th 10am to 6pm; Monday, February 15th 10am to 5pm.
  • Location: Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter, Florida – Central Boulevard between Main Street Circle and Fredrick Small circle & University Boulevard.
Admission: $10 in advance at the Gardens Mall Information Desk, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Box Office, Roger Dean Stadium Box Office or online at www.artigras.org.
$12 at the gate. Children 12 and under are FREE.

Fine Arts Area: The Fine Arts Area features gallery quality work of 300 fine artists exhibiting a variety of talent and diversity of styles in 13 categories including Ceramics, Fiber (wearable and non-wearable), Digital Art, Drawing & Printmaking, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood.

Artist Demonstration Stage: Learn how artists apply their outstanding skills to create art in various media throughout the festival.

Youth Art Competition Gallery: Enjoy the amazing talents of local young artists from area schools grades K-12.

Tiny Treasures Children’s Art Boutique: Kids will love the chance to purchase their very own fine art donated by exhibiting artists. No adults allowed!

Concessions Court: Stop by our food court to sample a variety of offerings from around the world. Choices offered include: The All America, Taste of Tuscany, Asian Fusion, and Green Market.

Entertainment Stage: While checking out the fabulous artwork, listen to the sounds of jazz, R&B, rock and blues on the main stage.

Youth Art Competition Gallery: Enjoy the amazing talents of local young artists from area schools – grades K-12. Over 200 pieces were submitted to the contest and will be on display all weekend. Winners will be announced live on the Main Stage on Saturday, February 13th. Winning schools receive prize money to purchase art supplies and winning students will have their art displayed at Art Fest by The Sea on March 12th & 13th 2016 in Juno Beach.

ArtiKids Area: Children of all ages will have the opportunity to head under the sea at ArtiGras in the ArtiKids area which this year has an ocean theme. Kids can build sea sculptures from recycled materials courtesy of Resource Depot or make under the ocean creatures in the Macaroni Kid tent. After getting their face painted, children can stroll over to the South Florida Science Center’s booth to go through a shark tooth lab and then create coffee filter jellyfish and fruit loop fish art.

Next, your child can create part of a coral reef in the Lighthouse Center for the Arts’ coral reef project, while they make shark tooth necklaces courtesy of Loggerhead Marinelife Center. Kids Need More Art will have a craft area too where your budding artist can make fish hats, a mermaid photo stand or a gyotaku fish print. If stamping is more their speed, the Armory Art Center has an activity where your child can stamp out a underwater scene from the deep. Other participating organizations in the ArtiKids area include i9 Sports, Professor Clark the Science Shark, Hometown Bridges, Rock ‘N Faces, and Small Fish, Big Fish.
